Peggy Goes to Goodwoof

Goodwoof 2026 – A Dog's Dream Weekend at Goodwood! ðŸū

If you asked me to describe doggy heaven, I'd simply say... Goodwoof!

Back in May, my human packed the car full of treats, toys, cameras (Mum never travels without one!) and enough snacks to feed a small army before heading off for an amazing two-day adventure at Goodwoof. And let me tell you... it was paws-itively incredible!

Whether you're a tiny Terrier, a giant Great Dane, or somewhere in between, Goodwoof is one of those events that every dog should experience at least once.

What is Goodwoof?

Goodwoof is the ultimate celebration of all things dogs. Set in the beautiful grounds of Goodwood, it's a weekend filled with activities, shopping, demonstrations, delicious food, expert advice and thousands upon thousands of happy wagging tails.

Everywhere you look there's another dog making friends, trying something new or convincing their humans to buy just one more toy (it worked... several times!).

Our Two-Day Adventure

We stayed nearby so we could enjoy the full weekend without rushing around.

The atmosphere was amazing from the moment we arrived. Everyone was smiling, dogs were excited (but surprisingly well behaved), and there was so much to see that we barely knew where to start.

Activities We Took Part In

There really is something for every dog.

During the weekend I enjoyed:

  • ðŸū Exploring all the different activity zones

  • ðŸķ Meeting lots of new furry friends

  • ðŸ“ļ Having plenty of photo opportunities

  • ðŸŽū Watching exciting dog demonstrations

  • ðŸĶī Sampling lots of tasty treats

  • ðŸ’Ķ Taking regular water breaks in the hydration stations

  • ðŸŒģ Relaxing in the shaded chill-out areas

  • ❤️ Visiting charity and breed stands

  • 🎁 Collecting far too many freebies (according to Mum!)

  • 🛍️ Shopping until our paws were tired

Everywhere we turned there was another activity waiting to be discovered.

Shopping Heaven

Now... let's talk shopping.

If your humans enjoy spoiling you, they might want to bring a bigger car!

The shopping village was packed with fantastic independent businesses alongside well-known dog brands selling everything from:

  • Luxury dog beds

  • Harnesses and leads

  • Natural treats

  • Dog clothing

  • Toys

  • Enrichment games

  • Grooming products

  • Supplements

  • Travel accessories

  • Handmade gifts

  • Doggy biscuits

  • Training equipment

Needless to say... Mum's bank account definitely got a workout.

I, however, fully supported every purchase.

The Food

Humans never seem to stop talking about food...

Luckily, Goodwoof has plenty!

There was a fantastic variety including:

  • Gourmet burgers

  • Wood-fired pizzas

  • Street food

  • Loaded fries

  • Sweet treats

  • Ice cream

  • Fresh coffee

  • Cold drinks

And don't worry—we dogs weren't forgotten either.

Many stalls offered natural treats, puppuccinos, dog ice cream and healthy snacks to keep our tails wagging all weekend.

So Many Dogs!

One of my favourite parts?

Meeting dogs of every shape, size and breed imaginable.

There were Dachshunds, Greyhounds, Spaniels, Labradors, Border Collies, Frenchies, Staffies (my favourite, obviously!), tiny Chihuahuas and enormous Newfoundlands.

Everyone was there for the same reason—to celebrate dogs.

It created such a friendly atmosphere, and there were endless opportunities to sniff new friends (the proper way to introduce yourself!).

Tips if You're Visiting Goodwoof

If you're planning to visit in the future, here's what I'd recommend:

  • Arrive early to beat the queues.

  • Bring plenty of water.

  • Pack a cooling mat if the weather is warm.

  • Wear comfy shoes (your humans will thank you!).

  • Take lots of breaks.

  • Don't forget poop bags.

  • Bring a shopping bag... or three.

  • Charge your camera—you'll take hundreds of photos.

  • Let your dog enjoy plenty of sniffing time.

Is Goodwoof Worth Visiting?

Absolutely.

Whether you're interested in shopping, training, demonstrations, food, or simply spending an unforgettable weekend surrounded by fellow dog lovers, Goodwoof delivers every single time.

It's incredibly well organised, beautifully laid out and genuinely designed with dogs at the heart of everything.

I came home completely exhausted... and somehow with even more toys than I arrived with.

I call that a successful weekend.

Roll on Goodwoof 2027!

As soon as we left, Mum was already talking about coming back.

Honestly... so was I.

The memories, the shopping, the treats, the new friends and the amazing atmosphere made it one of the highlights of my year.

Now all that's left to do is patiently wait until Goodwoof 2027.

I'll be counting down the days...

...and making sure Mum starts saving for all the shopping I'm planning to do!

See you there! ðŸū

Pawsome Paws Boutique - Walkies Ready - Chocolate Brown

Peggy Gets Walkies® Ready — Chocolate Brown Adventures Await! ðŸūðŸĪŽ

If you ask Peggy what her life philosophy is, she’ll tell you (between snacks) it’s very simple:
“Adventure first… then nap.”

And lately, every adventure begins with one very important ritual — mummy reaching for the Pawsome Paws Boutique Tough Trails Harness.

Peggy already owns the gorgeous Forest Green collection (and she knows she looks fabulous in it), but the moment the Chocolate Brown Tough Trails Harness arrived… well… let’s just say there was a lot of dramatic tail wagging and immediate “take me outside RIGHT NOW” behaviour.

The Colour: Surprisingly Perfect for a Brindle Diva

Now, you might think chocolate brown wouldn’t stand out on a brindle dog — but oh, it absolutely does.

Instead of blending in, the rich brown actually frames Peggy’s coat. Her brindle stripes pop, her chest markings look brighter, and in photos she suddenly looks like a professional countryside model who just accidentally also enjoys rolling in mud.

It’s basically countryside chic.
Farmhouse aesthetic.
Dogfluencer energy.

Built for Real Adventures (and Peggy’s Opinions)

The new Walkies® Ready Collection is clearly designed for dogs who believe every walk should include:

  • a field

  • a hedge

  • at least one mysterious smell

  • and preferably a hill

The Tough Trails Harness isn’t just pretty — it’s genuinely practical.

Why Peggy (and mummy) love it:

• Fully adjustable neck and chest straps — you can get a truly perfect fit
• Custom PPB design (Peggy appreciates exclusivity)
• Lockable neck buckle — no awkward over-the-head moments
• Three buckle design — ideal over her Equafleece in colder weather
• Breathable air mesh lining — comfy and quick drying after damp grass zoomies
• Reflective trim — safer on darker winter afternoons
• Front and back coated metal D-rings
• Sturdy training handle — perfect for hikes or polite “no, don’t eat that” guidance
• UK lab tested for pull strength and sudden impact

Translation:

It survives mud, excitement, squirrels, and Peggy’s enthusiastic opinions about pheasants.

Hiking Helper & Training Superstar

The control handle is a total game-changer on country walks. When paths get narrow, sheep appear, or Peggy suddenly decides she must investigate a leaf immediately — mummy has instant control without interrupting the adventure.

And because it’s fully adjustable, it fits snugly without rubbing — meaning longer walks and less post-walk fussiness.

Completing the Collection (Important Matters)

Peggy has made it very clear:
She now needs the matching accessories once they come back in stock.

Top of her wishlist:

• Matching Lead
• Handsfree Lead (ESSENTIAL for photo days when mummy is carrying phone, treats, poo bags, coffee, and occasionally a muddy tennis ball)

The Handsfree Lead in Chocolate Brown is basically made for real dog parents.

Features mummy is excited about:

  • Wear crossbody or as a waist belt

  • Detachable waist belt

  • Handsfree training walks

  • Reflective detailing

  • Shock absorber bungee (protects both human arms and enthusiastic dogs)

  • Gold locking carabiner swivel clip

  • 3 D-rings — handy if you’re walking more than one dog

  • Adjustable 70cm–124.5cm

  • Neoprene padding for comfort

And it converts!

The detachable lead can also be used as a standard lead:

  • 2 D-rings

  • 2 locking carabiner swivel clips

  • Two grab handles for busy roads

  • Adjustable length from 4ft (123cm) to 6.6ft (185cm fully extended)

Perfect for hiking trails and pavements.

A Request from Peggy

Peggy would also like to formally (and politely) request a matching treat pouch.

Not just for treats — although she fully supports treats — but because mummy uses it at dog shows to store cash for easy access. Practical for humans, rewarding for dogs. Everyone wins.

Final Verdict ðŸķ

The Tough Trails Harness isn’t just a harness.
It’s an adventure uniform.

Whether you’re hiking, exploring woodland paths, visiting dog shows, or just doing a local walk, the Walkies® Ready Collection really lives up to its name.

Peggy is comfortable, secure, visible in low light, and — most importantly — looks fabulous while doing absolutely nothing helpful.

And if a product can survive:

  • mud

  • zoomies

  • dramatic flopping

  • and suspiciously selective hearing…

…it earns Peggy’s official paw of approval.

Now she’s just waiting for the rest of the Chocolate Brown collection to come back in stock… 👀

Pawsome Paws Boutique - Walkies Ready - Plum

Pretty in Plum — Peggy’s Favourite Colour Yet! 💜ðŸū

Some dogs chase balls.
Some dogs chase squirrels.

Peggy?
Peggy chases fashion coordination.

After proudly modelling her Forest Green adventures and falling head-over-paws for Chocolate Brown, Peggy has now discovered what might be her true calling in life…

The Plum Collection.

And this isn’t just a single accessory situation — oh no — Peggy has gone all in.
She currently struts her walks wearing the Plum harness, waterproof collar, waterproof lead, handsfree lead, and matching poo bag holder.

Yes. Even her poo bags are coordinated. As they should be.

Why Plum Works So Well

The plum colour somehow manages to be both bold and classy at the same time. Against Peggy’s brindle coat it really pops — her stripes look warmer, her eyes look brighter, and strangers regularly stop to say:

"She’s gorgeous — where did you get that harness?"

Peggy assumes they are talking about her.
Mummy knows they mean the outfit.

Walkies Just Became Easier

The Tough Trails Harness is still Peggy’s adventure essential. It’s fully adjustable so it fits perfectly whether she’s fluffy after a bath or slightly… expanded after a weekend at nan’s house.

It’s padded, breathable and comfortable for long walks, and the handle on top is incredibly helpful when navigating stiles, narrow paths, or when Peggy suddenly believes she has discovered buried treasure in a hedge.

Reflective trim also means she’s visible on darker evenings — important when your dog insists on one last sniff before going home.

The Waterproof Dream Team

British weather is unpredictable.
Peggy is not cancelling her walk because of rain.

That’s where the Plum waterproof collar and waterproof lead have become absolute lifesavers.

No soggy fabric.
No lingering damp smell.
No waiting a day for things to dry on the radiator.

Just wipe clean and you’re ready for the next walk — which, according to Peggy, should be immediately.

The waterproof lead is especially handy on muddy woodland walks and beach days. Mummy can rinse it, dry it, and it still looks brand new. Meanwhile Peggy looks like she has wrestled a puddle and lost.

Handsfree = Freedom (for Humans)

The Plum handsfree lead might secretly be mummy’s favourite item.

On busy days — dog shows, training sessions, or long countryside walks — it means she can:

  • carry coffee

  • hold a phone

  • open gates

  • juggle bags

  • pick up poo

…all while Peggy is safely attached.

The shock absorber bungee also saves arms when Peggy spots something exciting (like a bird that definitely wanted to be chased). It takes the impact out of sudden pulls and makes walking calmer for both of them.

It can be worn crossbody or around the waist, and when needed, it converts back into a standard lead for road walking. Two grab handles make it extra safe near traffic — very reassuring when Peggy forgets she is not a racehorse.

Even the Poo Bags Match

We cannot skip the plum poo bag holder.

Practical? Yes.
Necessary? Also yes.
But more importantly — it completes the look.

No more digging through pockets. It clips neatly onto the lead and keeps everything tidy and easy to grab quickly (especially during those “urgent” moments Peggy schedules at the least convenient time).

Peggy’s Wishlist (Important Announcement)

Peggy now has only one problem.

Her outfit is nearly perfect.

She would very much like:

A matching Plum sling bag — ideal for walks, shows and carrying all the essentials without mummy needing ten different bags.

And she would also like to formally campaign for:

A matching treat bag.

Not only for training treats (which she strongly supports), but because mummy uses treat pouches at dog shows to store cash for quick access. Efficient for humans, rewarding for dogs — Peggy sees no downsides.

Final Thoughts 💜

The Plum collection has quickly become Peggy’s everyday favourite. It’s practical enough for muddy countryside walks, durable enough for real adventures, and stylish enough that she turns heads everywhere she goes.

Comfortable harness.
Weatherproof walking gear.
Handsfree convenience.
Fully coordinated accessories.

Peggy gives the Plum Collection her highest possible rating:

Five paws out of five… and one hopeful stare for a matching sling bag and treat pouch release.
